I have a caseload of mostly boys-so Valentine’s day is a holiday that is a little bit more difficult for me to incorporate within my sessions. This year I am making Valentine ninja suckers.
I used a black napkin because I had a lot left over from my Goth days. (I did have a year where I wore my hair dyed jet black and bathed infrequently.) Actually I had a few left over from Halloween. It would be more economical to use black tissue paper if you can find it. I also had these really tiny label stickers in my office. I’m not really sure what you would label with them-they work perfectly for ninja sucker eyes though.
1. Cut off the corner of the napkin or cut a small square out of black tissue paper.
2. Place the sucker in the middle of the square of paper.
3. Fold the paper over the sucker and tie the paper to the sucker using a pipe cleaner.
4. Draw ninja eyes on the white stickers. (It’s fun to experiment drawing happy eyes, sad eyes, scared eyes, mad eyes etc.)
5. Place the sticker on the sucker to create your ninja sucker.
Want to make your own ninja sucker? You can download my Valentine Ninja freebie which includes full color pictures of the directions and 6 sequencing activities by clicking on the picture below. It’s only available during the blog hop-February 1-4th
I hope you enjoy the activity!
